a rapidly-approaching and increasingly doubtful end of year deadline to issue the stimulus bonds. The UIRVDA Board isn't scheduled to meet to consider the Sportsplex's new application until next Tuesday.

Theresa L. Glass, 42, of Belvidere pled guilty to one count of intentionally accessing, without authorization, a protected computer used by the Better Business Bureau in interstate and foreign commerce and communication, causing damage or loss. She was charged with the crime Oct. 19.
Sentencing for Glass will be 1:30 p.m. March 1, 2011.
Glass faces a possible maximum sentence of up to one year imprisonment, as well as a maximum fine of up to $100,000, a term of supervised release of up to one year, a term of probation between one and five years, as well as mandatory restitution.

As previously reported Illinois Supreme Court Justice Thomas Kilbride did obtain the 60% approval required for retention. I recently found several web sites by opposition groups to Kilbride which are listed below. Both sides spent so much money on this campaign.

Both Bill Brady and Jason Plummer taped ads promoting a NO vote on Kilbride. And the Illinois Democratic Party gave $1.25 million to the YES campaign.
The Associated Press and the St Louis Today.com has an interesting interactive map which uses unemployment, bankruptcy and foreclosure rates to come up with a “stress rating”. Needless to say Winnebago and Boone County is the worse in Illinois. This computer program also allows the reader to view the situation over time. Going back to 2007 and as recent as August 2010. All of the counties of all of the state appear available on this program.

Illinois’ early prisoner release controversy was no scandal, according to a recently-released report from Northwestern University School of Law, which claims stopping early release may have actually made the state less safe.
The report dated Oct. 28 claims that most news stories on early prisoner release have been false and the issue has wrongly turned into a scandal. Malcolm Young, director of the Program for Prison Reentry Strategies at the university’s Bluhm Legal Clinic, wrote the report, saying the controversy on the issue “resulted in ill-advised legislative and administrative decisions that may actually increase risks to public safety.” Reported in the Illinois Times.
