“I know the chairman believes he can follow any policy he wishes, but there’s a number of members who believe there is a procedure….

Boone County State’s Attorney Michelle Courier said Chairman Bob Walberg isn’t required to host public forms or publicize candidates’ resumes. He is required to appoint someone on the advice and consent of the board.

That means there aren’t any strict rules on how the notice must be published or whether an interview must be conducted
