New wind farm regulations head for townships, advisory boards |

revised batch of regulations for wind farms soon will be reviewed by Boone County’s nine townships, the planning commission and the zoning board of appeals.

Recommendations then will go before the planning, zoning and building committee (PZB), with the final stop at the county board, possibly in September.

State statute requires township review of revision to the zoning code. Assistant planner Gina DelRose said they will be asked to submit their thoughts no later than Aug. 10.
