The Family Store is moving from its Whitney Boulevard location because it needs more space, McClintock said. It will continue sales of clothing, furniture and household goods.
Proceeds from the store will be used to help finance the Salvation Army’s adult rehabilitation centers and keep them self-sustaining. Work therapy is part of the rehabilitation process and some of that work is done in the thrift stores.
