Superintendent Search Update
The Board of Education is excited to share Dr. Cassandra Schug has been hired as the
Superintendent of Schools starting July 1, 2022 She will fill the position currently held by Dr.
Daniel Woestman who has led the District since 2016.
Cassandra Schug has proudly served in the role of an educator in the states of Wisconsin and
Illinois for over 25 years. For the past 11 years, Dr. Schug has served as the Superintendent of
Schools in the Watertown Unified School District.
Dr. Schug enjoys being a contributing and active member of the communities in which she has
lived and worked. She looks forward to moving to the Belvidere community and becoming actively engaged in the Belvidere community organizations as well.

Starting salary is $190,000 for a 261 working day year. The school district pays all of her Teacher Retirement Deductions of 9% of salary. Within one year the superintendent shall become a resident of the school district.
