Boone County responds to Garden Prairie Organics Request to extend hours of operations

Garden Prairie Organics has applied to Illinois EPA to extend their hours of operations from 7AM to 7PM to 5AM to 7PM.  The following is Boone County’s recommendation to Illinois EPA.

Boone County Health Dept’s proposed fee increases

These new fees are anticipated to be voted upon at this month’s Boone County Board Meeting on February 20, 2013.  They will be discussed at Thursday’s 2-7-2013 Health & Human Services Committee

The cost recovery figures are the anticipated additional revenue from the increase (2.25%).

Head-Up on February 26, 2013 ZBA meeting

As many know Tuesday, February 26, 2013 is the tentative date for the hearings on the Wind Turbine ordinance set-backs.  That is also a primary election date so the board room at the Boone County Administrative Center will be a polling place. 

Thus a change of venue may well be required.  However that is the decision of the Zoning Board of Appeals Chairman, Norm Stimes.
