County board member pleads guilty to federal computer charge

Theresa L. Glass, 42, of Belvidere pled guilty to one count of intentionally accessing, without authorization, a protected computer used by the Better Business Bureau in interstate and foreign commerce and communication, causing damage or loss. She was charged with the crime Oct. 19.

Sentencing for Glass will be 1:30 p.m. March 1, 2011.

Glass faces a possible maximum sentence of up to one year imprisonment, as well as a maximum fine of up to $100,000, a term of supervised release of up to one year, a term of probation between one and five years, as well as mandatory restitution.
