Police Preparations began early for Pres Bush visit

preparations started more than a week ago for the Beloit Police Department.

8 a.m. when they conducted building sweeps at ABC Supply, put security measures into place, and began positioning personnel.

Rock County Sheriff’s Department and the Janesville Police Department assisted the Beloit Police in safely transporting the six-car motorcade from the Rock County Airport to Beloit

at ABC Supply, about 40 Beloit officers (from the SWAT Team, the Drug and Gang Unit, and the detective bureau) were used for patrol work and managing the event.
