Once completed, the Lovell center will be the first health-care facility operated jointly by the VA and the Navy
over a decade on joining the VA Medical Center with the Naval Health Clinic in North Chicago," said U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin. "We have finally cleared this last legislative hurdle. The new federal health center will improve the quality of care for veterans, service members and their families in North Chicago and stands a good chance of being replicated as a cost-saving measure across the country."
