Anti rail rally planned in Winnebago County

WINNEBAGO - Those opposed to the Great Lakes Basin Transportation (GLBT)’s proposed rail route through Winnebago County have two upcoming events including a rally across the road.
RALLY@ROWLEY Farm will be held Thursday, Oct. 13 at 11 a.m. in the 8500 block of Cunningham Road east of Winnebago, Ill. It is located a half-mile east of Falconer Road and a half-mile west of Weldon Road.
Winnebago County Against Great Lakes Basin Railroad will also hold an informational meeting at Winnebago High School gymnasium, 200 E McNair Road, Winnebago, on Oct.18 at 7 p.m. The doors open at 6:30 p.m. for check in, according to Lana Daly, event organizer.
