Elmhurst-based Brown's Chicken & Pasta Tuesday filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, which allows it to financially reorganize while temporarily shielded from its creditors' claims. Brown's 39 area outlets, all but three of which are owned by franchisees, remain open for business.
