Voters say 'yes' to school sales tax,

 One of the first Illinois communities to pass a sales tax for schools is Lawrence County in Southern Illinois on the Wabash River.

Proceeds from this new tax will be distributed to all public schools that have students residing in Lawrence County on a per-pupil basis and will be used for school capital purposes only.
