Zoning board wind farm public hearing postponed to Feb. 26 | Belvidere Daily Republican
This public hearing will deal only with setbacks, the distance a wind turbine may be from someone’s property, landing strips, airports, underground utilities and elsewhere.
County staff is continuing to recommend a 1,000-foot setback, with all of the details being handled during the special use process.

It was Schultz who suggested the numbers be placed on the county’s website for a month, “in case others want to look at them.”
If all of the increases in the two areas are approved the county will recoup $3,090 in actual costs that were incurred over the past two years. Broken down that would be $2,076 for food-related fees and $1,014 for environmental fees.
