According to a Forbes magazine list of “America’s Most Miserable Cities,” Rockford ranks No. 3, behind No. 1 Detroit and No. 2 Flint, Mich.
Rounding out the top 10 behind Rockford, Forbes listed Chicago; Modesto, Calif.; Vallejo, Calif.; Warren, Mich.; Stockton, Calif.; Lake County, Ill.; and New York.
