BELOIT, Wis. (AP) -- Five current and former Town of Beloit Police Department employees have filed or updated complaints against the town in federal court in the past three weeks.

The Janesville Gazette reports Sunday that all the complaints include allegations of racism against Police Chief John Wilson, as well as a handful of other accusations.

In early 2009, the town reprimanded Wilson in writing and required him to take a sensitivity class after the police union filed a complaint against him.

At the time, Town Administrator Bob Museus called the matter was politically motivated. On Friday, he told the newspaper he couldn't comment on the latest cases because they involved pending litigation.

In 2009, the police union passed a vote of no confidence against the chief.
