Chicago would waive its $4-a-month employee head tax for two years — but only for newly-hired employees — under a mayoral plan proposed Wednesday to stimulate job creation.
At the state level, Daley wants the General Assembly to create a new temporary corporate tax credit for each new job created in 2010 and 2011.
In Washington, he's pushing for a waiver of all federal taxes on new employees hired over the next two years. The breaks would remain in place for as long as that worker remains on the company payroll.
