BELVIDERE — The Boone County Gang Task Force is hosting a public forum next week to update the community on local drug and gang activity.

D.E.A agent Brian Besser, Assistant United States Attorney John McKenzie, Belvidere Police Chief Jan Noble and a former gang member will speak about their efforts to end gang activity in Boone County.

The forum begins at 6 p.m. on Monday, March 23 in the Community Building Complex on 111 W. 1st St. in Belvidere.
