Goals of DeKalb County jail's future debated | Daily Chronicle

DeKalb County prisoners are a big income to Boone County that may be changing soon.

[DeKalb] county has gotten turned down by Boone County when its jail is full, although it is fortunate Kendall County’s jail still has some room.
“Will the price go up? You bet it will,” Klein said.
The big problem is not having the right space for certain inmates with special needs because no one else will take some of those people, Klein said.
